Gio was vaguely familiar with the American St. Croixs. They were what the public thought Xavier was -- a 'mutie-lover,' as the bigots so articulately put it. Father believed Old Louis St. Croix was obviously some kind of latent or otherwise power-impaired mutant. It was the only way the things he was willing to say in public made any sense... and his nephew had married ...someone, hadn't he?
