Well at least after calling out a few times, Ed has the common sense to listen instead - trying to pick out any hint of a kitten in all this commotion.

Ed crouches down onto his hands and knees, looking around again now that he was at eye level - as long as no one picked him up - and there was a kitten merrily purring beneath that table.]
