Apple OS X Leopard - Front Row
I am not sure if Apple reads my blog or what but some really great things are happening in Leopard that I've been wanting. This time Apple must have heard my cry for a better movie interface. I think the idea of showing a live preview of the video is neat, but it can be slow at times. What I really wanted was an interface like that of the Trailers section in Front Row.

It just shows a nice movie poster and doesn't take much to call that up. In Leopard Front Row has taken the appearence of the AppleTV interface. When I fired it up and went into movies it seemed to load a lot faster too, I was completely in awe when it displayed the poster frame I had set for the movies in iTunes though. After a few seconds the movie poster is drawn back a little a some text displaying the genre and the movies total play time is displayed below the poster image.

I think at one point I asked for Cover Flow in either iTunes or Front Row but this I feel is just as good. If you're confused about what I just said, let me explain. Cover Flow is currently in iTunes but it doesn't seem to be navigatable using the Apple Remote.

Overall I am quite pleased with the new Front Row interface, including Cover Flow would be great but I don't think it's nessacary at this point. Good work Apple!
