WWDC 07: After Thoughts [12 Jun 2007|09:06am]
Well it seems most (4 out of 5) of my predictions were WRONG! Haha, oh well...

1. iPhone SDK - Instead of an SDK Apple is letting developers use the web and web coding standards to do their applications. Sounds pretty lame to me even after seeing the demo in the keynote.

2. We’ll see something about Leopard... - Yup, we did see some things, this was the prediction that I thought would actually happen and it did. I am very impressed with the things Steve showed us in the keynote. Lots of fun eye-candy things.

3. The Xserve might get something cool - Not as far as I know. The Xserve still comes in the quad-core flavor, no Octo-core yet :'(

4. The iPhone won’t require the 2 year contract - Nothing about this unfortunately.

5. Apple will talk about touch screen technology - Nothing about this was mentioned at WWDC in the keynote.

First iPhone (web) Application [12 Jun 2007|08:32pm]
While I am not impressed with the idea that iPhone apps are simply web applications, I think some developers will try to make the best of it. The first iPhone application is a simple shopping list. Now I am not sure if this is going to work while offline (there's no WiFi in the supermarket) it works and looks great. It's unfortunate that it has to be a web-only application and won't have an icon on the iPhone's launcher. Lame. But at least there are apps being actively developed, cool!

Update: It looks like there's another iPhone idea here. I can't wait to see what other developers do, this could be really really cool!
