Crazy Busy! [19 Feb 2008|07:32am] [ mood | happy ] [ music | //Darkest Hour - "Deliver Us"// ] Well I've been really busy lately, and I expect to be even busier now that I posted a new list of usernames on usernames. Go ahead get yourself one! We got a real warm spell yesterday and the rivers were flooding their banks. It flooded so much that it came up and completely filled up the pond at work, it was crazy. I wish I had taken some photos. Work has been eh lately. makkintosshu told me I should skip the 10.4 Server stuff and go right into 10.5. I think I should have known that, although I didn't...but I had the 10.5 Server books in my hands on Sunday when emilie and I went to Barnes and Noble. So I gotta see if we can order the 10.5 books at work and I need to figure out which RAM slots work on my Xserve so I can up it to 1GB of RAM... I got myself volume 1 of Gunslinger Girl and volume 2 of Megatokyo. I was looking for volume 2 of Welcome to the NHK but that's the only one they didn't have, they have 1, 3, 4, 5 :( I got disk usage monitoring working on Palomino/MRTG again! I love it. Although it showed me that the RAID set on Palomino is almost full. I definitely need to get 1 more 500GB drive and put it into another RAID set. With the money from the username community I can definitely do that and get another switch now. Hopefully work is nice and easy today. I think it will be because it's going to be me, Joe, Eric and Daniel, so the whole lot of us usually has a good time, although that means there's more then enough people working :) Tim is going to install my new Kenwood in my car today, yay! Finally I won't have to drive in silence anymore! I suppose I should go take a shower and get ready for work. post comment

New Switch & Dinner [19 Feb 2008|09:24pm] [ mood | calm ] Today was a good day like I had predicated in my previous post. Working with Joe and Eric is always funny as hell. I was going to get my new Kenwood installed today but unfortunately the furnace in our warehouse got fucked up so Tim had to take care of that issue. I don't work tomorrow so it looks like it won't happen until Thursday, boo! That reminds me, I should probably email Tim and let him know I won't be in. Anyways, I got a Cisco WS-2924-XL-EN switch for the Moretown network. Get that stinking Intel switch out of there. That thing has mostly been okay, but lately it's been kinda flakey so I think it's definitely time to replace it. For $65 this is a good deal, it's only 100Mbit but I think that's fine for the type of network that is over there. Tomorrow is my day off, I have to go to the dentist and work at the barn, but other then that the day is mine!! I think I might start playing some Resident Evil 1. I can't believe I've not played it, I've played most of the others but this one. I love RE, fabulous franchise. I also have a few new DVDs from Netflix to gank so I'll be doing that. The software I was previously using to monitor the network is now back up and running so should any of the servers or other network devices go down I should get an email and a text message on my iPhone to let me know something is up. I love it! There are some silly comments on usernames. I don't see why people cannot read the bold print. It's not that hard...haha oh well. Their loss not mine :) Definitely should have charged $4 on round 1, but this is making up for it. Well emilie and are going to watch the last of Ah! My Goddess now, peace y'all! post comment
