How To Improve the iPhone
While the iPhone is one if not the coolest gadgets I've used, there are a few things that need improvement or need to be added to the iPhone.

The first is widescreen mode for Notes and Mail. I find that I can type on the virtual keyboard much faster and that I make a lot less mistakes. Also having the widescreen mode for mail would be nice too, more space for images and whatnot.

The next thing I would like to see for iPhone is iChat. I've been reading various blogs and sites that claim, iChat will be coming to the iPhone eventually but who knows when (hopefully soon). For now I think SMS is okay, but there are times when I would much rather iChat someone. even my old mobile phone had an AIM client on it.

iPhone has something called "Airport Mode", lots of other phones have this feature too, but I would like to extend the idea of Airport mode a little bit so that I have an option of turning off just the cell phone part or just the WiFi signal, I have a feeling that might conserve battery. Sometimes I know I am going to be a non-AT&T service zone but I will have access to WiFi so rather then waste power on looking for a cell signal why not turn it off.

The virtual keyboard has been good to me so far but there are some times when I don't like it. I do wish the backspace key was up near the P like a normal keyboard. I do thinking that the letters on the keys should change between uppercase and lowercase when you have Caps Lock On/Off, although I haven't had much of an issue trying to differentiate between the two. I do enjoy the sound it makes when you're typing though!

There needs to be to-dos for iPhone, whether it be a separate application or part of calendar application. I would lean towards it being part of calendar application because that's how it is desktop-side. I've been using the to-do feature in iCal a lot lately. Once you get the hang of it (which isn't very hard) it's something you can't live without. For now I am putting my to-dos into the Notes applications and then when I get access to my computer I will manually put them into iCal. Not a great way to be doing things, I am really surprised that they're not included and synched over to the calendar application for iPhone.

I think that Apple should include some of if not all of the neat Photobooth effects into the camera. I don't really use the camera that often but it would be cool to have this sort of thing on-the-go.

Having the ability to use any Dashboard widget on your iPhone would be great. I don't think there should really be a "Dashboard-mode" but each widget could run like the weather application does.

Something that I've bought up many times before is to be able to use your iPhone as a remote for AppleTV and even let it connect to other Macs (sort of like ARD). I think it would be really cool to use the Cover Flow mode but be looking at media on your AppleTV or Macintosh computer.

My last and final wish for the Apple iPhone is that it run native OS X applications. If I could have my favorite FTP client, Twitterrific, or NewsFire I would be so happy. I also have been reading on various websites that this could possibly happen, and it might happen soon. I really hope it does!

Apple has a fine product, but there are a few adjustments that need to be made for it to be the best. I can't wait to see what Apple can deliver through software updates over the next few months!
