Low Resolution Photos in iPhoto Books
I've been fooling around with iPhoto lately. I'm trying to get into photography...

Anyways, I was just clicking around and seeing how things work, and I was just making a little test book from some of my photos and I noticed that some of the pages included this little warning symbol on the image. After looking through the Help I found that, that was happening because I was using images that had to low of a resolution!

I also noticed that happened mostly on images I had zoomed in on, so after zooming out the warning sign went away. The help files list other ways to fix this issue:


- Choose a smaller print size. In a book or calendar layout, you can do this by increasing the number of photos per page.
- If you previously cropped the photo, revert to its original version and crop off a smaller portion, or leave it uncropped.
- If you positioned a photo within its frame by zooming in on it, zoom out of the photo.



Fortunately the image in question wasn't taken by my camera, I guess this person left their image settings on a low quality, 800x600. I usually leave mine on medium which is 2496 x 1664 on my Canon Digital Rebel XT so that's plenty big enough! I am really excited to learn iPhoto and eventually I would like to move into Aperture!
