Nintendo Wii - 5 Days and Counting
For the last couple months I’ve been going into my local EBGames and pestering them about pre-ordering the Nintendo Wii. I’ve never done a console pre-order before, so I was completely un-aware of how they worked. How could I have forgotten last years xBox 360 fiasco?!

Finally one day while I was in the middle of English class (I never go anywhere without my MacBook) I recieved an email from EBGames stating the Nintendo Wii pre-orders would start soon (10/13).

After waiting more then a month, the day is finally coming.

I’ve choosen to get the classic controller, another Wii controller, 2000 Wii points and The Legend of Zelda. Seeing as I would like to get Ocarina of Time I’ll be down to 1000 Wii points. 1000 points translates to roughly $10 as far as I know.

I’ve heard from a couple sources that without component cables or the HD cables that the graphics will look pretty aweful for HDTV owners. I really hope this is untrue as the cable can cost $60 or so. That’s completely ridiculous…so much for next generation consoles. One blogger even suggested buying a crappy TV for some $250. In my opinion that’s stupid…$60 cable or $250 TV that sucks more energy. Woops…didn’t think about that one before writing about the idea.

After watching and looking at photos of the Wii’s on the product line, I’m more then excited to get my hands on one. I am pretty psyched to make my Mii and see how well Opera and web browsing works!

Hopefully I’ll have a review of the system and Zelda within the month. School and work have eaten up my time!
