Apple OS X Leopard Server
So last week (?) at WWDC Apple didn’t seem to really talk about OS X Leopard although my friend mentioned they usually never cover the server software at WWDC. I think that’s right because I don’t really remember hearing about Tiger Server back when Tiger was coming out.

Well at least they didn’t leave it totally in the dark and Apple does actually have a website for OS X Leopard Server.

2 things that look very interesting to me are the Wiki server and the iCal server.

The wiki server basically allows you to setup a wiki which anyone can use. I’ve been a fan of Wiki’s for a while now and I can see they have a lot to offer. I am wondering though if it will be possible to set up multiple wikis through this tool.

The iCal server means I will probably be able to drop my .Mac account for most things. I could now sync to the iCal server! This is very important for me because I have multiple computers and I like to have my iCals on each of them. Now I will have control over that with this update in OS X Server. Sometimes .Mac is down or not working and it’s a pain in the butt.

Of course these 2 features aren’t the only thing that will come with OS X Leopard Server, there’s a bunch more, so check out Apple’s OS X Leopard Server sneak-peek web site!!
