I don't think Scribbld will do anything with comments marked as spam, what I normally tell people is to set it so only registered users can make comments.
Do you know if your spam comments were from anon's or registered users, if it's registered users, I can just ban the accounts. If not, I would just set it so comments can only come from registered users, it definitely helps with the spam reduction.
