Consulting & Stuff...
So let's see...woke up around 8:30am this morning. I did some forums and email. My entire iTunes Library is fucked up a lot right now even after emptying it out. I'm in the process of getting all my podcasts again and half of them are in G:\ and the other half are in C:\. I'm not happy but I think it's becuase on my last install Windows was in G:\ so thats where all my iTunes shit was...it's annoying and I think I wanna kill it all AGAIN and try to reload it...So for the 4 millionth time, here we go!

Work/Geek: TalkAnyways, I went into work around 9:30am because Morgan was going to show me how to work with Timbuktu and setup a VPN account for me. We use the Cisco VPN client and it's nice. I love my Cisco! So after like 45 minutes of messing around with that and also finding out that the Small Dog DSL was fucked up I was on my way to St. Albans...It's about an hour and a half drive...but that's okay cause it means even more money for me. The funny thing is that I spent more time driving then actually doing work for these people. LOL. So I got there and some old man pulled up next to me and was eyeball fucking me, I kinda wanted to tell him to stop and to go away LOL So I got there and met this guy Josh who I guess kinda runs the server but not really since he has no idea what he's doing. He just wants to be able to connect via Timbuktu from home. So after like 10 minutes of checking the server out and things I moved the cable from eth1 to eth0. This makes the IP go back to the one it's supposed to be at and then I break out the VPN client, double check the port forwarding options and the firewall...I must admit Asante doesn't have a bad little web interface. So yeah that all works so I send Morgan an iChat too see if he can double check and make sure he can get into through Timbuktu from Small Dog back at home. And he can so that all works.

Next was getting the backups working and all that. Of course this Josh guy has no idea what software they use to make backups or what disks they're backing up and where too...what a pain that was. I told him I'd let Duane figure it out since he was the one that got it running for them originally. Then he wants to know about network shares, and I'll be honest I have no idea how to share a folder in OS X. So I got Morgan back on iChat and it seems that you can do it through the Workgroup Manager in OS X 10.3 server. I should have figured so, but hey! I still don't know how to share a folder in OS X 10.3 or 10.4 CLIENT though. Oh well...Berkey was supposed to show me how but that never happened. So I figure out a quick fix for him and I'm on my way, but...

Does anyone know why I only see the ability to mount SMB shares?! On my PowerBook I could see something like CFIS/SMB shares...and on Josh's PowerMac G5 I could only see SMB...so weird...

Horse Chat: Okay, I haven't seen Nippet in 3 days. I am going crazy! I was going to buy him something when I stopped at PetsMart this afternoon, but I didn't know what. I did see this cool looking crop but I don't know if he would like that as much as some peppermints or something haha Almost got some new irons but I wasn't sure what size iron pads to get. I kinda thought if you get 4.5 irons you would get 4.5 pads, but not totally sure since I've never bought those before...anyone care to enlighten me?

Other Chit-Chat!: Hrmm, so I did stop at PetsMart and I almost ended up getting a lot of things. There was this really cool like black light and it was kinda cheap, but I didn't get it. They didn't have the little rock/cave thing either. I was going to get my dogs something but I don't like them all that much so I didn't. I got some freeze dried crickets and meally worms though, EW!

I also stopped in at Best Buy to see if they had an good deals. I almost got this 300GB drive but it was like $289, and I've seen them on NewEgg for much cheaper. Looked at some LCD displays and they have this Samsung for like $389 or something maybe $379. I can't remember...but I would like a new monitor for my poor eyes.

I then went over to EBGames cause BestBuy didn't have PoPoLoCrois. I actually ended up getting it. So yeah that's added to the que of games to play. Working on Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Dynasty Warriors, Super Mario 64 DS, Monkey Escape, Wipeout Pure, Half Life, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Gun, Jade Empire, Ninja Gaiden Black, Indigo Prophecy...I think that's it...can you say, TOO MANY! AIIIYEEE!!!

Umm yeah so I should be getting to my homework and uploading some stuff for Berkey and fixing my iTunes! BLAH!
