True Reflections

Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

It ended on a somber note @ 12:36 am

Current Mood: sad

with learning the news of Bernie's passing Tuesday night, but still we celebrate.

Happy 2009, everyone.

Spinning 'round, in a spell
It's hard to leave this carrousel
'Round and 'round
And 'round and 'round

So, it's 2009. @ 02:59 pm

Current Mood: thoughtful

Resolutions.

Hm.

Well, continue to drop weight. I've lost @ 6lbs since Dec 1, which is pretty damned good considering Christmas was in there. Today it shows a little gain but I can pin that on alcohol and salty snacks yesterday, OMG.

Keep vidding and keep writing. Improve my writing. I'm not one to count words and such but I do want to WRITE. And vid.

Try to be more organized and militant in my time allotments - only THIS much for work, THIS much for fandom, etc.

And read to my kids more.

A coworker made this LOL cat, go vote! http://mine.icanhascheezburger.com/view.aspx?ciid=2999804

I have a crazy need to see very young DS. Need to grab and/or reup the discs at Netflix. Or wait until it's up at the tvshow comm, heh.

Listening to "Songs from a Secret Garden" by Secret Garden. It's so pretty.

January is wide open. White and blank and clear, waiting for me to add color to it. Katie and I will add our birthdays soon, [info]peg22 is celebrating hers today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) and [info]sjames_centre will be celebrating hers later, too. I know there are more of you with January birthdays (including my birthday pal [info]ausmac) so an early Happy Birthday to you all.

Peace.

I took the 43 Things Personality Quiz and found out I'm a
Romantic Self-Knowing Builder

eeeee magnets @ 07:22 pm

of PUPPIES! Thank you [info]glasshouseslive! They're adorable and my girls have been squeeing over them since yesterday. :D

I had a vid...mostly done. But I didn't like it. Something wasn't right.

And then an event happened. And now I think I can make this vid work.

Sad, that.

Well, I know of one cable channel that really relies @ 08:04 pm

on Paul Michael Glaser selling Consolidated Credit services - TV One. I've got a "The Jeffersons" marathon going on behind me and every ten minutes or so, there's Paul's voice, talking about "the freedom people". And EIGHT credit cards can get you into debt trouble! *shakes head, laughs*
