After all is said and done....
(takes place after the Champions plus Misha rescue the kids)

Lyta waited outside the Champions headquarters for Misha to return. After what had gone down when they were rescuing the kids, yes she'd admit that she was a bit worried about him. Then again, she hadn't known that Irina's father that had been the man, nor did she know that he was responsible for kidnapping and experimenting on the children. While every fiber of her being had wanted Misha to end Alexi right there and then...but the fact that he was Irina's father and her blood that stopped her.

Still, she could tell from the look in Misha's eyes that he was upset, enraged even. She couldn't just go to sleep.

And so, she waited, leaning against the wall, sipping on a hot cup of tea that she'd made.

"It's Weapon X, Lyta. I'll never take down the whole thing, but I can do something about Creed and Tessa. You have the children. They'll be crippled for awhile. Now is the best time if I can get a lead on them."

He covered the hand on his face with his gloved one. "She doesn't need to touch you do that. Everyone was down on the floor, including their people. Besides, you have a team here to take care of." He paused. "Are you staying on the Champions?"

	He leaned in to kiss her cheek. He wanted to hold her close, but not against the armor. The armor wasn't him. "I love you," he said quietly. "I want to keep you safe from this and I know I can't with that woman around. The best thing for us now is that I leave before I make things worse. If I find out something and need help, I'll call."
