character information.
Full Name: Eloise Frances Wellington
Age // Birthday: 18 ; January 29th, 1990
Title: The bookworm.
Ethnicity: British
Alliance: Senshi
School // Grade: Azubu Institute of Technology ; Sophomore
Extracurricular Activities: Honors Society, Swim Team.
Residence: An on-campus apartment she shares with two fellow medical students. It's always rather neat and tidy and quiet, which is exactly what Eloise loves in a place.
Occupation: Student
Reincarnation of: Sailor Mercury
Appearance: Eloise may not be the prettiest girl on the block, but she's pretty enough by her own standards. With her father's looks (her mother has always been fair-haired and freckled) of pale skin and dark hair, Eloise has her own look about her. Of course, when one looks at her body language, there isn't a whole lot of confidence in her steps. She's never been prone to showing off her body (which doesn't mean she's got a bad body by any means, considering she does a lot of swimming both on a team and on her own), uncomfortable with the notion of using it to get anyone's attention (most especially a boys!). Mostly, Eloise likes to blend in with the crowd. Considering she's short (only coming up to maybe five foot three), she's managed to do that rather easily, able to slip in and out unnoticed for the most part.

Dark brown hair falls past her shoulders in straight, thin sections. Eloise has always worn her hair long, finding herself hiding behind it when she gets flustered or embarrassed (which can happen quite frequently), pulling it back or stuffing it into a swimming cap when she jumps into the pool. Equally dark brown eyes are set on pale features that burn rather than tan in the sunlight; even with the use of her SPF 50 sunblock Eloise gets a little pink in the summertime when she's out and about in the sun.

When it comes to clothes, Eloise chooses simplicity and comfort over elegance and the extravagent. She doesn't wear a lot of bright colours (though she has sometimes found herself boldly wearing red lippy with outfits, which she only does if she's in a particularly good mood), sticking with neutral tones and darker hues. All her clothing tend to be tasteful-- no skirts above the knees, very limited tank-tops, and she tends to wear flats instead of heels simply because she falls over in heels.
PB: Anna Paquin
Personality: Eloise's love of knowledge has always made her stand out in a crowd of her peers. She was the girl at reccess who, instead of playing four-square or tag, would be sitting along the wall with a book in hand. Her relationship with the written word has always been one of the things near and dear to her heart; anyone who insults the written word will hear a few stern words from Eloise before the day is through. She loves reading and falling into new worlds but also learning new and interesting things. Her mother's old medical books got her interested in medicine when she was a child and has continued to foster and nurture this interest through her school career until now.

Inherently shy, Eloise often comes off as aloof or stuck-up because of her lack of friends or much of a social group. She's never been good with people and when she does try to talk she finds herself stumbling over her words or making herself look like an idiot. Well, at least in social situations-- she's able to keep a cool head and recite off some treatment or chemical formula without skipping a beat. She just doesn't do well with people sometimes and, while it's not always the most exciting thing to eat lunch by herself, Eloise likes to think of it as a choice for now. It's easier anyways.

Yet, with those she does call friends (because she does have them, contrary to popular belief), Eloise is rather bright and pleasant. She's not always the most outgoing even with her friends, staying mildly subdued, but she's not the wallflower she becomes at social events. She talks and laughs with her friends, opening up bit by bit until she can relax. With ehr friends she tends to be a bit of a mother hen, fussing and helping where she can, especially with coursework. She's always been one to offer help, though she doesn't press herself upon anyone if they don't want it. Eloise knows how to draw the line, respecting other wishes and other ideas with a polite interest.

While it's not in the forefront of her mind, Eloise has always had a bit of a competative streak when it comes to her academics and swimming. She likes to be the one winning at the end or getting the highest test scores in her year. She strives for perfection, though it's not an all-consuming habit. She manages to lose somewhat gracefully (though she has been known to stew and steam about it for a few days before perking right back up). Eloise just wants to be the very best she can be and to make her parents proud of her.

Eloise has her secret habits-- the things that she doesn't show just anyone. She's hopelessly addicted to romance novels, something she gets rather embarrassed about being seen with. She keeps her books under her bed in a shoebox that only she touches. She loves the idea of being in love but is too scared and too shy to actually set forth to find it for herself. And, while it's not so much of a secret habit, Eloise loves swimming and uses it to blow off steam. She was on the team in high school and has continued to swim for the Institute's team now. When she's in the water, everything seems to make more sense and she can really let herself go. With each stroke she comes closer to clarity. She loves to go to the pool when no one's there and just float in the water until her skin gets wrinkly and pruney.

history.
Family: Richard Wellington: father, 54. Artist.
Angelia Harris (formerly Wellington): mother, 52. Pediatrician.
History: Richard Wellington had always been a hard one to catch-- an up and coming painter, he was known for his aloof attitude and inability to commit. It wasn't until he met Angela Harris that he managed to calm down and was finally looped into marriage. They were happy enough for the first few years and managed to get pregnant not long into their marriage. Eloise Frances Wellington was born on a chilly January day in Bath, England.

Eloise was a happy baby, if not a bit quiet. She was curious about everything, though she stayed close to home when she learned to walk, terrified of getting lost in the great big world out there. She was the glue that kept her parents together through her early childhood years but, as time went by, the glue started to fade. When Eloise was six, her parents divorced. Her father moved out of her childhood home to live in London while she and her mother continued their life in Bath. Eloise didn't understand why she couldn't always see her Dad but she grew to accept it, happy enough to take the train ride to London to see him every other weekend.

Unknown to Eloise or Richard, Angela had been searching for something new in her life, something different. Bath held too many memories for her but moving somewhere else in England didn't seem the right option. It only took a phone call from a former collegue to get her rolling on a new idea. Eloise came home one afternoon when she was eight to have her mother spring news upon her of an upcoming move. Angela and Eloise were going to move to Tokyo-- Angela's old friend had settled there and there was an opening for a pediatrician in the practise. This was the window her mother had been looking for and she took it without too much thought.

Saying goodbye to England and to her dad was one of the hardest things Eloise had ever done. The same could be said about coming to Tokyo and being thrust into a new environment and a whole new culture. Eloise had a lot of trouble adjusting the first year and a half as she tried to learn the language, tried to make some friends, and attempted to get comfortable with this new place. Thankfully she went to an International School which meant she wasn't the only foreign student there, able to connect a little more with some English speaking peers rather than the people out in the world. But, bit by bit, she started to learn the language and with homesickness ebbing away, she started to accept this place as a sort of home.

When Eloise was eleven she found her second love (her first being learning and/or reading) when she was in gym class. Their topic was swimming and, once she got into the water, she didn't want to get out. She begged her mother to sign her up for swimming lessons and she began spending her time either at the local pool or the library after school. By the time she reached high school, she was part of the team, competing for prizes and standing. Her favourite was freestyle, which she was pretty good at. It was also around this time that she decided that she wanted to go on to university and to study medicine like her mother.

At the top of her class, Eloise graduated with honors and moved onto University, easily getting accepted into the medical program. She's continued with her swimming and has been doing very well in school. There's not much time for anything else, which she's fine with for the time being. She's got her work to do and nothing's going to keep her from graduating on time!
