Ssu Ling Cast

Saioji Emi

At nearly eighteen, Saioji Emi's life is changed when she's approached by a brown tabby telling her she has to save the world. In a nutshell, she's a sweet girl, if not a tad forgetful of things, incredibly stubborn, scared of the dark, and loves to spend time outside, especially at the park near her house. Being a Senshi's not really how she planned to spend her life, considering she was ordinary one day and then powerful the next, but she's trying to cope the best she can, even if it means hiding her own fears and worries from the others as long as she can before it finally breaks out. As a Senshi, she is Sailor Gaia.

Toyama Sayuri

Filled with a fiery spirit and a temper that cannot be matched, Toyama Sayuri wasn't expecting anything grand from life. An orphan because of a fire (that she unintentionally started, we might add), she's the second Senshi found to protect and guard the Earth. She's got her heart in the right place, though she tends to be a bit overzealous and is very wary when it comes to men. Only Emi can seem to reach through the protective layers and really get to know the girl inside. As a Senshi, she is Sailor Suzaku.

Chishu Naoko

Sweet and mild-tempered, Chishu Naoko is the third to join the group. She's a bit on the slow side, always taking a bit longer to catch onto things, laughing at the joke minutes after it's stopped being funny. She tries real hard though and really seems to bring out the old motto "Slow and steady wins the race", especially when it comes to her studies. She's fiercely loyal and is a lot stronger than most might suspect. As a Senshi, she is Sailor Genbu.

Ita Miyu

Quite the cynic, Ita Miyu is the fourth in the group. She likes to be called a realist but honestly tends to pick out the worst possible way things could go in situations. She's always ready, stalking and keeping watch like her counterpart, the White Tiger. She has a biting temper and a sarcastic mouth that tends to get her in trouble when it comes to school. As a Senshi, she is Sailor Byakko.

Oshima Suzume

Be careful, or the snake will bite if you provoke it. Calm, beautiful, and completely cold to the outside world, Oshima Suzume is the final member of the group. She knows how to control herself and her emotions, easy to slip out of situations and easy to outsmart the enemy. Suzume's not afraid to use her sex appeal to get men to do what she wants before leaving them without what they wanted in the end. She's the decoy, the false center, protecting what she must while she can before the truth is revealed to the world. As a Senshi, she is Sailor Seiryuu.

Apollo

In cat form through the entire first book and a half, Apollo finally materializes as a human in the middle of the second book. In both forms, he's known for his short patience with Sayuri, loyalty to Emi, and a mind made to help plan attacks and to train the Senshi he was sworn to awaken so they could protect the planet. Yet, as a human, his past is interestingly intertwined with that of those whom were sworn to protect the Earth. He has powers, though those don't surface until much later and never is he given a title as the Senshi or Knights have.

Matsuda Niboshi

The lonely wanderer, Matsuda Niboshi is only a shadow through the first story, materializing only as Chronos Knight when the Senshi is in need of rescuing from perils that they cannot defeat themselves. He is a Master of Time, having lived for thousands of years like his sister and cousin, and has always watched over Sailor Suzaku. He's a bit shy when it comes to talking with others, remaining quiet until he's thought of something clever or fitting to contribute to the conversation. Many think he's aloof but, really, he's not used to talking with others often, alone for most of his life save for the time he's spent with his sister in the Fields of Elysium.

Hoshiko; Sailor Chronos

She is and always has been a Guardian of the Fields of Elysium, where the dead must make their final passage before moving on towards the afterlife. Her life is that of solitude, having taken this burden so her brother never had to. Her soul is old, trapped in the body of a young woman who has never truly seen the world outside of the Fields she guards. Yet she watches over the lives of others, mostly her brother and the Senshi he has come to protect.

Suzuki Kohaku

He seems so ordinary, yet nothing about the world he lives in is ordinary. Suzuki Kohaku was never meant to be anything great, that he seemed to know, but then again, who can go against destiny? He's Saioji Emi's closest friend and eventually her boyfriend, caught between these two worlds that the one he professes to love lives between. He's an outgoing guy, captain of the soccer team and a self-proclaimed comic book nerd, thank you very much.
