there are varying degrees of any type of disorder. my brother as a former of it and he can carry on a conversation and sometimes talk to people, even relate, but he pulls away after a little and gets overwhelmed when there are too many people or it isn't on his subject. and sometimes he can be rude and not know when it's acceptable to say something in front of his sisters or his mother. perhaps this person has experience with someone that legitimately has the syndrome and thinks that they might have a form of it.
