I got stuck on a crowded elevator today in London.

I nearly started climbing the bloody walls. I didn't even mean to get on the damn thing, but I got caught in the middle of a fast moving herd, and got crammed into the back. The doors shut, and there were too many people to push through, and before we even got to the first floor below us, the thing stalled for about 3 minutes.

I'm pretty sure I knocked over an elderly woman and a little boy on my way out of there. I feel bad about it in retrospect, but...Christ.

This is why I prefer the Quidditch Pitch - wide, open spaces with no walls that feel like they're closing in on you.

That is an unfortunate experience!

I haven't been on an elevator by choice since I was 6, and I was stuck in one for a good hour and a half during a brown out in the middle of summer.

Did I mention there was an intense heat wave that day?

Well, at 23, I'm part of the team that's going to win the world cup this yea.

So I'm thinking I caught a pretty good break, in the grand scheme of things.
