I don't think they're old and worn and all. Think of it like ... the old dog at the pound. Everybody wants the young puppies, right? And the old dog is convinced nobody wants it anymore. It's older, a bit scrappy, and isn't as sweet and innocent as all the younger dogs. But as soon as someone takes that old dog home, even though it's a bit of a tough dog, it'll be loyal to them forever. Probably to a fault. Because someone dared to take a chance. So yeah, I do feel safe ... but sorry I had to call you a dog to explain why.
