Well, the purpose of the Expo is mostly for appreciation and education. But it's also to gain more supporters for funding. It's been steadily declining in recent years. [Insert the sound of papers being flipped through.] Your dojo's either probably been doing fairly well with the number of new students coming in or hasn't received an invite to the Expo yet. There's still a month left and... some of the people organizing this thing can be a little... scatterbrained if you know what I mean. [Soft chuckle.
