He has no reason to hurt her, and even if he did he'd refrain.
He looks thoughtful for a second. Now that he knows what's happening he can rough up some people who know, one of them will spill he's sure, and if anyone looks into it that one will get the blame not her. He's not going to endanger her for telling him valuable information.
But he doesn't let her free just yet. "How much are we talking? There's a big difference between one hit and a war. If he's looking for that hit to start a war though...he must be confident he won't be losing much." He stops for a moment and his expression is now a mix of dead serious and concerned. "You know if he pulls this off you're a target too...anyone connected to the mob in any way will be at risk." He's trying to get her to see that it's in her best interest to help him out here, he'll do the grunt work but the insider info will help save a lot of lives. Because the mob cares little about bystanders and innocents.
