He gives her a conspiratory wink just to stay in character and follows her in.
"So babe, how are these walls at letting sound through? Don't wanna wake your neighbours..." He wanders over to the TV she's got and motions towards it to indicate he's going to turn it on and amp up the sound. It'll give enough noise that the bugs won't be able to pick up what they're really doing.
