She manages to catch him off guard with that. Not that hard in his current state.

Trying to smile back at her, he finds he can't really. He's just too stuck in the realization that he'd made a huge blunder. One that shouldn't have happened at all, and could've been avoided.

"Well...I'm not letting you run anyway. Reason or no," he replies firmly.
