AU Land--- Mob Boss
In a very different time line things went differently for Sarah. She never met Robin and never had his help. Her life became much more complicated as a result. Instead of slowly getting to the point where she might be free one day things just went too far.

So she killed a Mob Boss and took over his empire. She didn't become strictly evil but she did what she had to so she could hold onto his businesses. She was able to turn some into honest businesses but there were other things she couldn't change. That was what killed part of her just a little bit.

Sleep down't come to someone like her who spends their every waking moment fighting the other families off with Machiavellian moves to topple them should they get too close. She won't let the other families destroy Gotham. Some of the harder drugs stop coming through for a while and it pleases the Master Thief turned Mob Boss.

At least she could do some good. But she's very tired and hates the fact she did have to throw this lavish party for her men. But it was to keep their loyalty. They needed to be happy so parties were just a part of it. Right now though she waves off her body guard and retreats to her office for a drink alone.

She feels so tired right now. She also feels like she's in over her head.

	But it's there long enough for him to see and take note of it. He knows a lot about wearing masks to hide the emotional stuff, it's nothing new in this line of work. "Because I'd rather clean up and organize your work at cleaning up the family more than have to shut you down totally." Not to mention it wouldn't work as well anyway. She would fight him tooth and nail to protect what is hers. She may not want this but she won't just abandon the men who aren't that bad.

"At least you're honest." He could probably see what others couldn't. She was in over her head and struggling to stay honest.

"What did you have in mind? You're not doing this out of the goodness of your heart... I assume like me you would like to stop the import of drugs to Gotham. It's the one thing I've cut off from my organization." Finally she grabs her glass of wine and takes a sip.

It was clear. She was a thief, not cut out for this stuff really. But she was handling it well for everything that had happened.

"First we need to clean up and reorganize your plans there. What you have works, but it's sloppy and won't hold if anything happens." He doesn't try to tone it down, she needs to know the facts here and while what she has works, there's lots of room for improvement. "And I have bigger plans than just the drug trade."

She could pull a con job if she had to but it's obvious she isn't going to last. She leans forward letting her arm rest on her desk.

"I've been tightening my control on the organization but..." She gave a light sigh. "I'm an amateur. They'll figure it out sooner or later. All right. What do you want me to do?"

She's trapped again and she knows it. She hates Batman for this. She's never going to get out of this. It doesn't show though because she is a Professional.

"They don't need to figure it out. I have plans I can feed you to put into action. It'll make things more manageable on your end and reign things in better." But it'd also mean he was planning on expanding her cleaning up efforts and using her family to try and do so to the others. She'd be a figurehead leader of the family for him. Because he knows that organized crime isn't something that can be stamped out completely, he just wants it to be tightly controlled.

She still had made good choices though. He couldn't surely find fault with her efforts. Sarah kept her mask up this entire time though.

"Fine." At least they'll be doing something good with this. She wants out so badly but she'll never say it and she'll be damned if she'll ever ask for anyone to help her again.

There is a grave that says she can't do that. But Sarah is also really good at keeping her composure. The years stuck here have been hard on her.

"If it works it'll make me happy. If this didn't happen I'd probably end up doing things I didn't want to."

	She nodded once with confidence. "I'm on board." Talk about a bloodless take over. If she is lucky in a year she can try and talk her way out of Gotham. She nodded and stood up not quite draining her wine glass. Her plant in the corner gets a very rare extra treat dumped in it as she has to hide she had been doing business in here.

"I'd invite you to come have a drink but you'd make my guys trigger happy." She offers Batman a very slight smile. She's actually pretty when she's smiling.

"Our social circles are just very different."

	"If you were still just a thief this would be a very different matter." The line seems like it should be serious but it's said with a hint of amusement.
