lookit all the pretty colors!
So, sometimes when I get bored or have to do my Wiki pages, I need to think up pretty colors to use for the text and stuff. So I thought I might share my palettes with you guys, since they're all designed based on the colors I associate with each character.

Peter Pan

I created the two bright colors (green is called "Pantastic," blue is called "Till Morning"). They sort of match Peter's LJ layout, and I just really like the idea of bright, childlike colors that remind me of the outdoors and the summertime.
Laura Ingalls Wilder

Laura is basically insane, so I thought the bright pink (created by me, aptly named "In Your Face") represented her pretty well. She's very much a homebody, so the cream and brown fit in well there. The lighter pink and orange are mostly fillers, but they're still fun.

C. S. Lewis

The first color, the dark grey-blue, is called "Scars," which is apt for my portrayal of C. S. Lewis, since he, you know, cuts himself. It's a bit bleak-looking, like a whirlpool-- it's hard to escape once you're trapped in it. Clive's doing better, though, so that's what the lighter colors represent, I think. Forgive me, it's a bit late for me to be thinking coherently.
Ernest Hemingway

I'd also call this the L. L. Bean palette. Hahaha. The first color is called "Who Art In Nada," which I created. The name comes from one of Hemingway's short stories, "A Clean Well-Lighted Place," one of my favorites. It's very blue, obviously, but I thought it worked because Hemingway likes to hike on nice days (blue skies!) and he fishes (water!) so the blue... fits. Plus, when I see Andrew Cooper, I think blue. I don't know why. My thought process is incredibly convoluted.

Charles Perrault

So three of these colors are mine; the ones in the middle, as follows: "The Dark Queen," "Sleeping Beauty," and "Puss in Boots." I like these colors for Charles because they're rich and deep, but subtle at the same time. I know he's rather new, but I think they're fitting to his personality, and I think if you read what I've written of him, you might agree. But then again, what the hell do I know?
J. R. R. Tolkien / Robin Hood

So, I started making this palette for Tolkien (considering the green on the far left is titled "Linguist's Tale" after his LJ and the title of the palette is "All That Glitters" from the Fellowship of the Ring poem) but it seems a bit more fitting for the character of Robin Hood, although when I think of my Robbie I think of more browns and reds, for some reason. I really like the gold color for JT, though. Not sure why. But there you go.

Oh, also, because I felt like it, here's the poem that the Tolkien palette got its name from:

All that is gold does not glitter
Not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither
Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken
A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that was broken
The crownless again shall be King.
