What are the odds a bloke whose ex is marrying ANOTHER rockstar can get a pity date from a smoking hot girl?

Anyone?

Anyone?

You really do have sour luck.

At least I didn't end up marrying some crazy person, Viv.

Very, very good news. I'm going to France this week, you and Amissa should come with me.

Only if you help me find French chicks who shave.

Deal! I'll even take Amissa for a night. I need to start her on fashion early.

I believe my permission is needed for outings such as these.

I need permission to take our daughter to France.

Hm.

I say this merely because you refused my earlier proposal around the holidays.

I'm only leaving Amissa with her for a few hours, it's not the same thing.

Oh, I'm afraid if you're leaving the country with her, it is very much the same thing.

If you're going to be that stuck-up about it, then perhaps you should suggest you actually spend time with our daughter for the day I'm gone.

I fail to see what I'm being stuck-up about.

And exactly what are you suggesting?

Mmm.

I'm suggesting you take Amissa for the day? I know it's an alien concept to you, but eventually she's going to start asking about mummy dearest.

I was actually referring to your intentions to take our daughter out of the country, in the company of another woman who is not of any matronly relation to Amissa.

But of course--in addition to the mass amounts of time I spend with her, between a respectable, paid internship and my own few, limited, and equally respectable social engagements, I am pleased to watch her any time she is with you and you are otherwise unable to care for her.

Don't make me sound like some sort of unfit father, Englewood. Despite how much we don't get along, you know that's just not true.

Fine, what time can I drop the little angel off?

I'm sorry, Mister Aubrey, but I'm afraid I don't feel I can give my consent for this trip, yet. Your fine parenting skills aside, my concerns are not sated. And being that even myself, and my mother, were not fit enough guardians in your eyes, to allow the same activity to take place, I fail to see how two nineteen-year-olds are.

At your earliest convenience is fine!

Right.

Try not to make her cry too much, her cute little eyes get all puffy.

She rarely cries with me, thank you.
