I'm back on the pitch, but it doesn't really feel the same. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, and everything's great, it's just --- I guess I'm still a bit pissed off about all of this. So much has been taken away from me, from all of us, and the fact that I'm "allowed" on the pitch now is a little bittersweet. I feel like a seven year old who's grounded, but can still play in the backyard. Lame. Fucking lame.

I shouldn't be so sulky, it's my own fault. Maybe if I were actively trying to focus on other things I'd feel a lot better.

How are you? How's the baby? We should do something.

Ah, life.

It's fairly decent actually, thanks for asking. What about you?

And...kiddo? Really? Where did that come from?

I guess things really could be a hell of a lot worse than they are, so I'm pretty good. How long can this thing last, anyway? There's way too much opposition for them to keep chugging along with it for much longer.

Nowhere, really. It was just spontaneous. The word looks pretty cheerful on paper and that's what I was going for, it's not something I would use in person.

Probably could. I don't know how long it's going to last, but I hope it doesn't last for too long. Everything seems kind of different now, doesn't it?

Hey, maybe I could help you focus on other things? Haven't seen you in a while. Maybe we could just talk about...things.

Don't you love how vague I am?

I absolutely do love how vague you are! It does do the job of giving me something else to focus on, anyway. Instead of focusing on how irritated I am, I'm focusing on how vague you are. Mission accomplished.

Hanging out would be great, by the way. When do you think you might want to meet up? I'm not really doing much these days, obviously, so pretty much whenever is fine with me. It might be easier to just stick to my place or yours, too, since we're not really allowed in many public areas without proper chaperoning. It's up to you, though, we could manage to go out in public if we really wanted to, I think, I just thought it might be more fun otherwise.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I bloody agree.

Woah. That's one for the record books. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who's still grouchy. I'm not getting used to this at all.

Especially with how the other teams had no fucking qualms about filling their teams up with purebloods. Just business, you know.

That's all it is to some people. Who needs standards when you could have money, right?

Don't worry about it, Priddy. You're only just as pissed off about it as the rest of us are. It should blow over soon and, if it doesn't, I'm sure that we'll push it over.

Yeah, thanks. I hope so. But what makes you so su It's just frustrating to have to rely on everyone else for no better reason than the fact that the Ministry is trying to protect us in the shittiest possible way.

You seem pretty cheerful, by contrast. Besides all of this shite, things are going well for you?

It's shitty, yeah, but no one's going to mind if you ask for their escort. They'll understand. If they don't, they're bloody daft, and I guess you could always just tell them that it's a date if it makes them feel any better.

Things are going very well, actually. I didn't know it was obvious.

HA. I'll keep that in mind, Tadhg.

Seriously? You're usually the pessimistic one, mate, but lately you've gotten pretty optimistic. I think you just stole my optimism. Remember when I used to be the one telling everyone to stay on the sunny side and you were the one bah-humbugging? Ah, the good old days.

If that doesn't work, twist their arms a bit. You could bully someone into it, no doubt.

The good old days will be back again, don't worry about it. For now, just focus on the good things, like how we're going to completely fucking dominate this entire season. Wouldn't that do the trick? Or bake. I don't know if you've ever tried it, but women typically love to bake.

We're doing swimmingly. Getting ready for our first day of school on Monday I really don't want to leave her but but a distraction would be brill, to be honest.

Great! It's great that you're both doing so excellently, and we'll definitely have to meet up VERY soon. It's been too long and there is no excuse for this, right? Well, okay, except for this nutso law and the season finally starting up and the beautiful new baby and all, but other than that, no reason! We'll shop, maybe? I mean, how long has it been since you bought clothes that weren't from maternity stores?

And besides, I could definitely use some new stuff, too.
