Wonder Woman test scene featuring Batman
It wasn't an everyday occurance but there were times that even Batman needed help. Or at least information.

Diana hadn't come to the Wayne Manor in her typical star-spangled professional attire, but her purpose was rooted in the job. Of course Mr. Wayne wasn't home, but Alfred had granted her access anyway letting her into the house and offering her tea and a snack before agreeing to let her down to the Cave. Diana was pretty certain that there would be some measure of Hell to pay over this, but at the moment she didn't care. Bruce needed information. Batman needed information and whether or not he was willing to admit it, she knew damn well the Dark Knight trusted her.

So she waited.

Batman returns from patrol scarred and exhausted. He pulls the car into the Cave and kills the engine and leaps out.

He knows something is wrong the moment his feet touch the ground. There is someone here, but it is not Alfred.

His eyes look toward the largest area in the Cave, the computer array, which leads up to the manor. When he sees Diana, his posture doesn't change, nor does his voice.

"You should have called, Diana." he says, skipping the pleasantries. She knows he's not for them anyway. He heads up the walkway toward her and stops several feet away, waiting.

That's as much of an invitation to speak as Batman ever provides.

"Apologies for the intrusion, but I didn't trust the phones, Bruce." She watched him for a moment, his entire person and presence unflinching. "I apprehended a criminal tonight in New York who I think is the link you've been looking for about the new wave of drugs coming into Gotham. The guy was teched out to the teeth. I didn't want to risk a breach."

She paused.

"I take it you had quite a night."

Bruce slides the cowl out of place and Diana will now see bruises on his face, and some swelling near his jaw.

"I'm fine." he says.

He considers her information about the drug lead. She's right; he's had a lot of trouble narrowing down exactly who's responsible for "Excel", which lessens the user's inhibitions and dulls nerves. There were already six deaths related to the drug and the body count would go up every minute the suppliers were out there.

"What did he tell you? And where is he?" Bruce asks.

"Tied up and unconscious in the belly of my jet. Which is parked out back, by the way. That would be the other reason I came in person. And it's less what he told me and more what I found on his person when I made sure my fist hit his face. He has supplier information on him, Bruce. And not dead ends."

She shook her head.

"Alfred is going to have a coronary over your face. You should let me see what I can do."

"I'll be fine, Diana." Bruce says, a little more insistently. Batman does is not one to share moments of weakness, not even with allies. Of course, Clark and Diana have seen him in worse situations, after what Bane did to him. He'd never wanted that, and now spent every moment since his return making sure that Batman was believed to be untouchable, invincible.

"Alfred will deal with it, as he always does. We should take a look at this perp; I don't want to hold you up any further." he says, slipping his mask, and Batman, back into place.

"You assume I'm leaving right away. Alfred has offered me breakfast and I'm not one to turn down his scones. I'll eat your share if you insist on being stubborn about it." She smiled a little and then nodded. "Give me a moment to change. I don't know that I want this guy coming to and seeing me in street clothes. You're welcome to have at him while I dress."

"You can change over there." Batman says, nodding toward a changing area. "If you want to open the plane, I'll get him in here, and then we'll talk to him."

She tossed him the keys.

"That sounds reasonable. Bruce, try not to rough him up until we need to scare a belief in religion into him. And be careful. Some of the technology I saw on him...phones and things...it's straight out of Asia and pretty sophisticated."

Her warnings given, she stepped into the changing area and quickly went from Diana to the Wonder Woman people knew.

Batman goes to the plane and finds the man in question. He uses a device of his own creation to scramble the man's technology and keep him from getting a signal out.

When Diana returns, Batman has dragged the man to a chair near the computer and has him cuffed to the table and blindfolded.

"You want to start, or should I?" Batman says.

Diana nudged the man to make sure he was conscious and then out game the lasso. If she could avoid the man being pounded into dirt at Batman's hands by using the "Fire of Truth," she would.

"You are going to tell Batman everything you told me about Excel and how the Fascione's are getting it into Gotham."

And then she was going to get the source and make sure no one produced Excel ever again.

Batman listens as the man speaks, his information filling in some of the blanks that Bruce had only speculated at. He does try to resist several times, but a series of leading questions forces the man to divulge the information he desperately tries to keep.

This was, by far, one of the easiest interrogations he'd ever done.

"That's enough. I have a name. I'll deal with the rest. Your help is appreciated, Wonder Woman." Batman says, reaching out to use a nerve hold on the man.

"The crimes I busted him for are in New York, Batman." She raised a brow. "I need to deposit him with the NYPD."

"Of course." he says, unlocking the man from his restraints.

"This drug is making it's way across the country from the reports I've heard. I'll get a call out to the rest of the League to let them know to be on the lookout." Batman says.

"After I drop him off I will be obliterating the manufacturing facility. Inform the appropriate parties that I will be returning for the offered breakfast in a few hours. Perhaps you should consider joining me so that we can do some strategy work in regards to clearing the remnants of Excel from the streets."

Diana bound the man again with her own restraints and nodded her head to Batman before hauling him off towards the justice that awaited him.

He offers a quick nod, watching her walk away.

"Wonder Woman? Thank you for coming." he says simply.

He didn't get many visitors.
