1. "You know what I don't like about you, Michael?"
"Only one thing? I'm slipping." He smirked.
"You're swimming in magical power, and you use it like a hammer. It's a paintbrush."
"Blah blah blah..."
"It's called experience, kid! Learn to appreciate it!"

2. It was no surprise to anyone that Zach and Mike couldn't avoid some chest-thumping now and then. What did surprise people was how quickly they would come to one another's rescue, even for heroes. Reflecting on it generally made it obvious that it was a points system.

3. "You're depressed. I know how to fix this. A little game, I like to call--"
"I don't want to play it, Zatara!"
"--'Have You Met, Mike?'"
"Zach."
Zachary turned to the nearest lady sitting by herself. "Hey there, have you met Mike?"

4. "Dude, grow up. So you two had a fight. You suck it up, you bring her some flowers, and you apologize for whatever was wrong."
"But I didn't do anything wron--"
"You bring her some flowers, and you apologize for whatever was wrong."
"...Roses are for good nights. Daisies or bellflowers you think?"

5. "Stop smiling."
"Was I smiling? I wasn't aware." Zach grinned.
Mike sighed, then grunted. "Yes I've been expanding my studying.... I'm still not going to tell you you were right."
Zach just kept smiling.
