Sarah
Sarah is my favorite of my characters to play, so Exiles stalling a few times recently made me really happy to get a chance to jump her back into MNG for a bit. I've been playing her for 4 years or so now, so it shouldn't be too much surprise that I get into playing her, particularly as I've been playing her long enough to go from a pretty simple, straightforward char to a much more nuanced one. She's definitely one of the good guys, worthy to wield Mjolnir, and trying very hard to live up to the legacy of her father, Captain America, while bouncing from world to world. She's also about to deal with having, then leaving a girlfriend, all while still coming to terms with being a lesbian - not something she's entirely comfortable with while also trying to be a good All-American girl in her own mind.
Needs to happen: Step more and more into a leadership role within the Exiles. I'd like to find her a long term girlfriend eventually, and find a little more ease with relationships and all in general, but the nature of Exiles makes that very hard to plan.
Plots: Infinity and Beyond
Halbjorn
A deceptively complex character who keeps growing in my head. He's a Norse berserker, gifted and cursed with the Warriors Madness. He's quite comfortable with his role in things, but also ends up keeping most people at arm's length for it. Where most immortals live like they have endless tomorrows, he strives to live every day like there is no tomorrow, because there well may not be.
Needs to happen: Nothing. Halbjorn defies a lot of character growth, and that's fine. He knows he's going to die bloody and insane, and he's ok with that - its to save the world.
Plots: Dormammu, then assessing the state of the Defenders
Jordan
Jordan is the nigh-invulnerable occasional leader of Alpha Flight. He earned the confidence of his teammates and found himself unexpectedly in the lead... and then they were assigned a leader. He's actually ok with the switch and trying to soften the blow on everyone else for now, which is the type of personality that helped get them behind him in the first place. He also has a girlfriend now, and no one is more surprised than Jordan that this monogamy thing is working out ok.
Needs to happen: Jordan, so far, has been Alpha Flight's rock, in more ways than one. He has serious mental issues related to something similar to survivor's syndrome - he went from being a sickly orphan raised in guilt by the Catholic church to being mildly wealthy, owning his own company, great parents, and now he's invulnerable. He doesn't feel like he deserves this kind of good fortune. So far, he's been assuaging the guilt issues by trying to spread the wealth around a little and make his teammates' lives better. Eventually, he's going to lose a teammate, and when he does, he's going to be the one needing help, serious help.
Plots: I believe there's some plans in the works for AF around Omega Flight and the like. He'll be there for that.
