if they are in california, have them meeting at some slightly out of the way (as in not l.a. county) place along pch. if it's a coffee shop or even one of the mile marker turnout points, there's the great view of the pacific and the cliffs for scenery and dressed down, wearing shades etc, no one's ever going to pay attention to a couple of people chatting.

or if they are partiers, pic a hot spot club with a vip section.

go hiking in the hills and be rebel lawbreakers where they climb the fence to get close to the hollywood sign and make one of them dare the other to mug for a twitter photo if they are the type to do something immature.
