It had been some time since the talk he had with Ruth. They hadn't really talked that much since then, save a few words here and there. If Max was being honest with himself, he was avoiding her in the hopes that this..he wasn't quite sure how he'd describe it.. Connection maybe? She had said she wanted to kiss him. She was so sweet, pretty, pious, kind, and frankly too good for him. The fact that she had been in a longterm relationship with a guy who was all intents and purposes her soulmate, who was his polar-opposite in every way.It didn't stop Max from thinking about it, but in time maybe it'd go away and Ruth would come to her senses., In the meantime he did his best to get absorbed in his work. Though honestly he wasn't entirely that interested, just going through the motions of making the latest update to the team's security.
