I'm engaged!
This has seriously been one of the best days of my life. Today was a beautiful day. First we went to The Pier, went to the Aquarium, and fed some pelicans (which act just like the ducks in our neighborhood). Then tonight, we went out for a walk by the lake in our neighborhood. It was gorgeously lit by the lighted fountain in the middle of the lake. We noticed that our ducks, after a strange few days' absence, had come back. One of the ducklings (which aren't so little anymore), which is usually over at the other end of the lake, was sitting with the other ducks. What a rebel.
Chris commented about the ducks sitting in their own poo, and don't care. I laughed and said that those ducks crap all of the time and of course they don't mind sitting in their own poo. I then cuddled close, and he asked me what I was thinking.
"I love you, that's what. What're you thinking about?"
Then Chris kneeled down and asked me to marry him. Holy Christ, I was overjoyed. Euphoric. Bliss. :)
Keep in mind, that the wedding is probably a ways off. I guess it just made sense since we've been together and committed this long, we should be engaged. :)
Guys, I'm high on life right now.
