Rachel’s had several different points and plots dealing with her fear of her own power and what she might become, but has faced each of those with varying degrees of success. Phoenix stuff always remains a possible plot point with her, but I’ve largely run enough of those to give it a rest for the moment. Rachel was originally conceived as someone who would be following in her father’s footsteps and be one of those driven, leadership types, but seems to have shied away from that. It’s worth exploring, for sure.
Rachel’s other plot issue comes from the romantic angle. She still maintains a bit of a childhood crush on Misha, and a more recent one on Franklin Richards (which, given that she has a sister/counterpart running around somewhere, is hella complicated), a bit of an attraction to Starbridge (who she knows is attracted to her) which is extremely complicated with the whole ‘your people tried to kill me’ thing, has garnered the attention of Torn Claw (who’s a sweet, er, guy), and has done a bit of flirting with David.
Rachel will happily play a supporting role in any X-Plots which arise.
