i have no plans to make her an auror because she is so not smart enough to be but that made me wonder DO YOU THINK the auror program would be more lenient to someone who had an ability they could use? i know it was because they lost a lot of aurors in the war but like, harry got in without completing school, do you think they'd make the exception again ever like "FUCK you're so dumb but you're a meta i guess we need you >:(

	ia that harry was a) a special circumstance and b) proved he was worth his salt BUT i think if she applied, they'd probably be more willing to work with her/help her because of her ability and it being rare/a valuable asset (Reply to this)(Parent)

idk why i'm doing this here when i could just comment you but i guess for the sake of anyone else reading i always thought yes and no? like imo you do need to be a certain set of things to be an auror like disciplined and this and that, but it's like... the wizard fbi and you can be an auror without being entirely disciplined/by being a bad cop agent like the fbi actually has, if you make up for it in other areas. I THINK DEPENDING ON WHAT IT IS is what the yes or no would be, if that makes sense? like if you excel in certain things they could take special time to train you in others because i know tonks was great at disguise but totally horrible at being stealthy so she had so much on one end and nothing on the other, SO BASICALLY depending on how much it evened out in the end... like idt they'd take a hs drop out or something but it's their rules to break?? am i making sense because i have a great example if i need it

LMFAO SEE THIS IS WHERE I WAS CONFLICTED TOO like obviously from wizardry that's sort of always where i had her going, and while you saw her owls she's definitely not all o's by any means and even has some p's in there she was always at least average or above where it counted, like dada was the one thing she was phenomenal at so when i had to decide if she was going to focus on improving her meta stuff or improving her grades in terms of what would help her more career wise, i went with having her grades be a priority for her specifically only because oakley sees the meta thing as more of a problem than a solution?? idk if i'm making sense. she over worries about it so much to the point where i got mod approval like a month into being here that she dropped two auror-specific classes and she spends all her free time that isn't prefecting trying to do so well in studying/learning those that she can be newt level by next year to make up for it cus she's convinced that she would need all the help she could get, and that's kind of why she keeps the prefect title too because it teaches her to try and be more life disciplined and learn that life isn't always fair because without it she's just too much of a house m.d. type risk. so it's like she's great at dada and mediocre at school but works on trying to improve it on her own, so hopefully that can balance out that she needs someone to really teach her how to fly/stop punching people constantly and hopefully the meta thing works as a bonus in her favour?? idk i spent so long trying to balance it just right so she's just the right amount of being bad cop without it being so much of a long shot, because i felt like even with meta stuff they wouldn't bend the rules that much so i had to get/give a little AGAIN I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE

for daisy specifically imo if stuff like... uh like ok that plan you had that would be awesome for us to do as 7th years with them, imo that's sort of real world experience and would put daisy more on the radar for it to prove that hey, you don't need to be entirely book smart with this. and even if she didn't pass her newts the way they'd want her to, if she worked like IN HER OWN TIME or took a separate sort of testing/coursing/whatever and they thought she was acceptable, they'd allow her in despite the original newts just because of special circumstance. idt they'd just be like accepting and petitioning her randomly with bad grades but if she had real life experience proof or whatever + was willing to work on it then it's sort of the same thing?? GOD WHY DO I WRITE SO MUCH I'M SORRY

	i think had it been back in 1998, 99, 2000 they'd be more lenient but it's been so many years that i think they brought the standards back up to what they were because all of that was special circumstance. if a person had an ability like a meta i'd have to go with what oakley said and that it depends on the person and what they do and don't excel in!
