DOES ANYONE HERE have any method in photoshop to make the text look more realistic once it's added onto the parchment? mine looks like it sits on top but some peoples look like it actually blots in

use a drop shadow with a distance of zero and just adjust the size/spread until you like how it looks, usually like 2 and 2 looks good

i just tried gaussian blur at 0.5 16% opacity and then lowered the opacity of the original and it looks much better which is basically the same thing TY FOR YOUR HELP

YEAH i've used that technique also, actually that's what i did before i discovered the drop shadow thing which is much easier to me i think

try using outer glow on the text layer, play around with the settings, and set the blend mode to normal instead of screen, don't use solid black for your text color, etc
