anons i haven't had no nail polish on my hands in like months and now some of my nails have a bit of a yellow color to them which is gross so what causes this and how do i get rid of it? i've heard using a top coat as a base coat? i don't know :(

did you use a base coat when you DID have color on your nails?

NOPE tbh i don't even really know what a base coat is i always just assumed it's using a clear top coat as a base and THEN putting on the nail polish so unless i have this wrong then no i never have :(

a base coat and top coat are different, but not using a base coat can cause discoloration and damage to the nail

make a hydrogen peroxide baking soda paste and put on your nails for like five minutes

this happened to me but just do a base coat every other day for like a week or so, don't take it off with remover and when you use remover make sure it has no acetone in it
