they are unnecessarily harsh on obama for some reason when he even said in countless speeches that these changes would NOT happen overnight and would take a long time to fix the issues our country faces. and most of the dumbass issues being fought over like birth control and sopa are being brought by republicans. it's like they expected him to wave a wand and fix everything and now he hasn't he's the devil smdh OBAMA DOESN'T EVEN HAVE MAJORITY RULE IN HIS OWN GOVERNMENT

this is what it breaks down to: the republicans are better at one thing and that's yelling blatant lies about the opposition until people just start to believe them. in the last election, they claimed time and time again that the executive office as occupied by bush had nothing to do with the economic collapse and that no president could control the economy. when financial experts proved that it was bush's policies of deregulation that ultimately ruined the financial industry, they backed off that argument and tried to distance themselves from bush. democrats are too proud to bring up fuck ups like that in an election, they won't play as dirty as republicans do. if they do, republicans blame liberal media for whatever they've done wrong and people buy into it. it's tantamount to the schoolyard bully finally getting punched back in the face and crying to the principal about it and everyone feels bad because the bully cries. now that things are starting to upswing, unemployment is taking a steady climb out of the dumpster, and the market is up the republicans are just repeating that the economy is bad because it's the only issue they have to go after him on. they can't go after his stance on social issues because they're moderate and even social issues aren't enough to win or lose an election. they just repeat the same talking points over and over and the people that finally just bend to believe them don't bother doing their research.
