i got to see the hunger games with a my friend and her dad because he has ~connections~ at an early screening or whatever and i didn't really like it and i feel like i'm going to be in the minority because i found it just as cheesy and secondhand embarrassing as twilight

if I dont like it I'll be pissed but I'll probably still watch it more than once because it's faster than reason the book twice IDEK but I never really hate any movie so

well if you don't care about visual effects then you should be a-okay honestly! i didn't find any of the characters overly annoying just the setting and some of the dialogue and the cgi

I'm not overly critical of movies at all so I should be fine but I'm glad you mentioned the effects so now I know what to look out for most when I see the movie to see if I agree! I appreciate your opinion anon!!

the acting and stuff wasn't bad but i hate it when i can tell effects and stuff are overly fake i try to suspend disbelief and all that but it just takes me out of the movie and makes me feel awkward :(

i can overlook effects and stuff when i know they cost a lot of money that a studio doesn't want to pony up until they profit i'll just hope they fix them on a special edition bluray in the future :(

what were the effects that you didn't like? not panini-ing i'm just curious because it's kind of a sci-fi movie and hollywood has never been good with making that shit look realistic

my guess is that this first movie is going to feel a bit cheesy and then catching fire will be able to smooth that shit out thanks to the budget

hopefully, i don't want to see it go down a twilight road cgi wise because those never got any better AND YES I SAW THEM THE PERKS OF WORKING AT A MOVIE THEATER but like i said the acting was good the dialogue was corny sometimes that's about it since i won't post spoilers
