it's way different AND I LOVE BATTLE ROYALE DON'T GET ME WRONG (the book, not the movie, the movie is complete and utter shit) because thg isn't necessarily about the games, but the games are just part of their setting. really it's a story about a girl who becomes a revolutionary on accident, the games just serve as a way to show just how unjust the system is and the rest of the series is to fight it. battle royale never takes it farther than HERE ARE SOME KIDS KILLING EACH OTHER ISN'T THAT REALLY FUCKED UP which is a social commentary but not really so much a story
