maybe they should change it to something like, you can get extra credit points in the course of your choice and say the professors are on board with it. that way people who want to participate ooc but their characters wouldn't can claim they need the grade lift in their weakest subject

CAN I JUST OFFER A SOLUTION HERE you can always say your guy didn't see it until it was too late to withdraw, say one of their friends guilted them into it, etc or if it makes more sense for your character to withdraw then do so...yes you'll probably be glanced at but you know your character better than anyone so if they would see that and go OH FUCK NO WITHDRAWS then go for it. IF YOU DO GO THROUGH WITH IT and your guy gets...purchased? i'm sure the bidder wouldn't mind just discussing ooc and saying they went on their date and you can even say your guy sat there like :| the entire time but on the same note i think it would be a cool way to interact with someone you might usually not interact with? I DON'T KNOW I'M JUST TRYING TO STOP ANOTHER BITCHFEST FROM HAPPENING

you guys are fucking stupid. you all dw fun things but if it doesn't go the way you want, you find reasons to tear it down and complain instead of working it out and just going with the flow. you were given the option to opt out, what's so difficult to understand? no one fucking cares if you decide not to participate because some characters might not feel comfortable and that's fine. no one is seriously going to judge you for it. it's very little wonder that anyone wants to do shit when all we do is complain. thank you and goodnight

okay me all you want but i don't see the issue? if you don't want your character involved, opt them out. i really don't think anyone is going to legitimately glance at you or even notice they aren't there unless they go through the directories LOOKING for who opted out but then they're the dumb crazy ones not you
