if you go to jail they'll have to arrest EVERYONE. NOBODY WILL BE LEFT ON EARTH, 95% OF PEOPLE WILL BE IN JAIL AND THE JAILS WILL OVERFLOW. maybe they should focus more on things that matter

Seven people have been charged with online piracy crimes in an indictment unsealed in northern Virginia. Four of those suspects are already in custody, authorities said. The megaupload.com website, which was available earlier Thursday, appeared to no longer be online later in the day.

The four were arrested in New Zealand. Federal agents and other law enforcement agencies simultaneously moved to search bank records and server farms in multiple locations around the globe, authorities said. The charges include conspiracy to commit racketeering and criminal copyright infringement.

currently the laws only state that you can't distribute pirated material so as long as your torrents are set to NOT seed out then don't worry about it. unless sopa passes

i'm not even worried. i don't think those bills will pass because most of america (and the world) will be ready to fuck shit up if it does. plus, if they start arresting us for downloading pirated stuff, they'll have to arrest basically almost everyone in our generation or whatever WHICH WOULDN'T BE GREAT. i'm just trying to not freak myself out really
