A taste for the theatrical.

[The Dark Knight] Chance.
I FINALLY saw The Dark Knight with a few friends last night. I was a huge fan of Batman Begins, but Christopher Nolan exploded my mind in TDK.
Some thoughts (SPOILERS for TDK):

1. I really loved how "The Dark Knight" can apply to Batman and Two-Face. Ohohoho.

2. Two-Face's makeup was badass. It was the bone sticking out of his chin that really got me. I also really like the idea that Harvey Dent had a kind of chance/luck complex, and Two-Face made him take that idea and go absolutely psycho with it. I think I might have been the only one out of my friends expecting Harvey's transformation into Two-Face. :/

3. HEATH LEDGER. The man's a frickin' genius. I could hardly believe it was the same guy who played Ennis in Brokeback. Nurse!Joker was one of my favorite parts, that wig was just too much. I also wanted to get a look at his scars when he was in the police uniform, but it was way too quick of a shot. The way he switched Harvey's and Rachel's addresses was just vicious.

4. I'm in no way well-versed with the comics, but I really liked all the little nods to other parts of the Batman universe. Little Barbara Gordon, Batman with white eyes, the Joker laughing the way it's written (Ha-ha-ha-hee-hoo-hoo) at the mob meeting, that kind of stuff.

5. I love Cillian Murphy. I also love how they were chasing Crane the entire movie, and he's captured like it's nothing in the first half hour. I love you, Jonathan Crane.

Lazybones.

THE DENTMOBILE WAS NEAR. D: But I was so busy last weekend, there was no way I would have be able to make it into the city.

Ugh, I've become so lazy, I procrastinate at any opportunity. Like now. I have to do laundry, homework and practice piano, but I'd rather waste time until American Idol.

I've been watching Mirage of Blaze and I Wanna Be an Angel!, both were series I tried to find a few years ago, but either never had enough money (Mirage), or in Angel's case, the whole series was never released on DVD. Made me realize that I really don't watch that much anime anymore. :/

I also adore this t-shirt, the whole thing is just wonderful.

I'm ridiculously excited for Batman: Gotham Knight. 8D I really liked The Animatrix (probably even a little more than the actual trilogy), and this looks great too. And then The Dark Knight comes out and hopefully it will be SO GOOD. While I'm geeking out, The Spectacular Spider-Man is freakin' adorable. I also now have a secret crush on the Osbournes. Mm, cheekbones.

And now to write a four page paper! :D!
