No one can know... this is something I have to do alone. The sooner I can do that, the quicker this will disappear so don't sympathize with me. I don't need help from anyone, people have their own problems, their own friends and family to turn to and I can't tell my own. [is he making any sense now?] And you should be focusing on your son and trying to make things right with him.

How is that going? [yes, he is totally changing subject away before he breaks down in the middle of nowhere.]

[doesn't let you off that easily.] You said yourself that you needed a friend, and that you were upset because you felt alone and like you had no one to talk to. Everyone needs help sometimes, and there's nothing wrong with accepting it. Yes, people do have their problems and people they can turn to; you should have people there for you too, family or friends, for when you have problems. [and is worried that Izuna can't talk to his family...since he's their support.]

[sighs, but relents and accepts the subject change for now. some people are comforted by telling them your own worries, he's learned from dealing with teens.] Things with my son are going...well, but slowly. It will be a while yet before I can even think about telling him. He...didn't have the greatest childhood, to say the least, and it's made him very...untrusting. [sighs slowly.] I can only move slowly and hope he will accept me once I tell him that he's my son.

Do you think that is wise? You will be gaining his trust for the wrong reasons, get him to the level where he is accepting of you as a person or a friend and then, you are going to drop a bombshell on him by telling him it was all a lie and you were trying to butter him up just to tell him that you are his father. If he is as untrusting as you say, wouldn't that have an adverse effect on him?

I didn't say it was a perfect plan. Or even a good one. I just don't know what else I could do. Telling him forthright would probably just get me punched in the face and despised outright, and he'd likely never give me the time of day to explain things.

And I'm not 'buttering him up' and it is definitely not a lie. I do want to be a friend to him. He's an adult and can make his own decisions, but I want to be there to help him if he needs - or wants - it.

And...yeah, it could backfire. [sighs and scrubs at his eyes for a moment before refocusing on the road.] He could still reject me anyway, tell me he hates me and to leave. He'll most likely get angry anyway... But maybe this way I can tell him why I'm here before he knows he's the person I'm talking about, and he can at least think things over once he knows.

[sighs again. really, it just seems more and more like a doomed endeavor every time he thinks about it.] I'm all ears for alternative ideas, if you have any. [little hopeless 'heh'-like sound there.]

If I was the only person you told, if word gets back to him, wouldn't I be the only one to blame? You wouldn't have to go far to find out who it was. [he is really experiencing all range of Izuna's tones. have the compassionate, caring but underlying with evil intentions voice. I am the objects of your desire so you can trust me.] Sometimes telling people will help just to get it out. You need to look at all options of going into it and I want to help. You can trust me.

You would indeed be to blame, or whomever else you might have told. I've been told you tell your brother everything and I'm certain he's none too fond of me for the fact that I also was drunk...that...evening. [clears his throat in slight embarrassment.]

...And that tone of yours is daunting. I've told people - namely my sister and best friend - but...tell you what. You're intelligent. I'll give you three hints. If you guess, then that's fine. If you don't get it by the third one then I might start to doubt that intelligence. [is clearly teasing.]

First hint: he has almost exactly the same coloring as me. Skin and eyes are spot-on. His hair is different, but his eyebrows aren't dyed and show that he's as blond as I am.

	Either he has gone darker or lighter then. I don't pay attention to anyone's finer details like that so how about a bit more of a relevant clue, minus the actor part. You can't reuse that one.
