Testing 1..2..3..
Jo was dashing about Metropolis just keeping an eye out for trouble and not really expecting much of it when something caught her eye in an alley behind a restaurant. A familiar boy about her age was standing around with some older men, but Jo couldn't in that moment place where she had seen him before.

She stopped at the mouth of the alley keeping her eyes on them the whole time trying to figure out what she was looking at.

"Everything alright, here, gentlemen?"

She held back her wince and promised herself she'd come up with better approach lines than that later.

Jo's about to tell him 'no, thank you' and send him on his way when she catches the bit of conversation from down the street.

"I've just a question or two if you don't mind answering. The first one being: Why do you need those men to give money anonymously to nurses?"

Surely, as a fledgling business man there were ways for him to do it that consisted of paperwork and tax breaks. The fact that he was doing it in an alley suggested there was something dirty about the money.

Val raises an eyebrow, as inside thinks about strangling his associates.

"I'm afraid I really couldn't guess what you're talking about."

Jo had been afraid of that. She could at least say she'd tried the direct route now before sneaking about.

"Oh, of course, Mr. Colby, my mistake. I'll just go satisfy my curiosity elsewhere."

She bets she can catch the man that had been talking.
