In what should have been a routine meeting between plaintiff and lawyer, a deadly battle ensued. Amadeus Bole, a death eater who was captured two weeks ago during an auror raid, had plead guilty to numerous charges, and was ready to strike a deal with the ministry to reveal everything he knew about You-Know-Who and his followers. But, his loyalty to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named must have overcome his conscience and during the settlement, attacked both the lawyer and the auror guard sent as security. Bole unleashed the unforgivable Killing Curse, and was then struck down by the auror-in-training, William Jugson.

"From what I can tell, he just panicked," Jugson said, remarkably calm and humble as he answered a barrage of questions, "We tried to calm him down, tell him that what he was doing was for the best, but then he attacked Mister. Nott; I knew there was no turning back."

Jugson and Nott, former Slytherin roommates at Hogwarts (graduates of the class of 1978), had not been in the house for more than ten minutes when the attack ensued,

"It's unfortunate the way things happened," Nott said solemnly, as he was being checked for injuiries, "We had all been hoping for the best."
