"Pickles and chocolate ice cream?" Scott asks, confusion in his tone. Emma loves chocolate and pickles, but never both together. He's never known her to want both.
A thought occurs to him just then, one that he's not wholly comfortable with.
"Emma, I'd feel better about if you went. You're not perfectly healthy if you're--"
She threw up again, and Scott held her hair back.
"You were saying?"
