"She's sleeping. The noises scared her earlier." Emma looks up and her eyes widen. "Scott? Oh my god, darling, are you okay?"
Gently and deftly she shifts the little girl enough that Emma can get off the couch and go to Scott.
"Oh this looks terrible..."
