Remember that pesky Valesco Virus that struck the wizarding community a few years back?
Well, it's back.
Getting the virus is much like contracting the flu, but with the presence of a dangerously high fever that simply does not go away. Anyone that gets it at this early stage will think it's nothing more than that--a bad case of the flu--and probably choose to take or be put on potions.
The virus is spread mainly by droplets made when people cough, sneeze or talk. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Less often, a person might also get sick by touching a surface or object that has flu virus on it and then touching their own mouth or nose.
This means that this time, the virus does not discriminate. Muggleborn, Pureblood, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Quidditch Player, Housewife.
The Treatments; If you're a Muggleborn or would be one to take Muggle medicine, you're in luck. Unless you are one of the few that will manage to get over this virus through a strong immune system, the only way to lessen your symptoms and cure yourself will be to take a Muggle antibiotic. This was not solved during the first spread of the Valesco Virus, so initial attempts to heal will be given the potion that cured it last time, but this virus has mutated on its lonesome. Your character is going to have to fight it on their own until a new cure is found.
OPTION A You give your character a range of the minimum and maximum you are okay with for their reaction to the VSquared Virus!
1 - barely a cough, slight fever
2 - fever, weariness3 - high fever, weariness, nausea4 - fever, exhaustion, nausea, cases of vertigo5 - fever, exhaustion, nausea, vertigo, hallucinations6 - combination of 1-5, all symptoms severe and at this point character should be hospitalized.7 - combination of 2-6, barely functioning (RPers choice how long they are in the hospital/if they survive or not)8 - DEATHex. Giada Dorny, 2-8
----that means that I'm fine with Giada getting any of the listed sets of injuries
Bianca Aubrey, 1-4
----that means I'm only okay with Eliza getting hurt with the first four sets.
Sebastian Goldstein, 4-7
----that means he's not going to escape it unharmed, but he's not going to die.
Comment in this post with the ranges, and then when the numbers are picked, respond to that for plotty goodness!
OPTION B If you don’t want to roll and already have an idea for your character, go for it! The Rolls create randomness and new plot, but if you are sure you want your character to fall to a “7” ill, then have at it and make it good!
2. A random number generator will be used to decide fates, and this time A PERSON OF YOUR CHOOSING will roll for your characters (DEATH ROLL CHAT TIMES?). I am not taking on FULL RESPONSIBILITY for deranged characters and deaths tbh
3. If you have any NPCs you'd like killed (lol) as in parents or siblings or something like that, include that in your comment!
LET THE DESTRUCTION PLOTTING BEGIN!
