So I have some news. News that I need to run by you, because it's big news.

There's a conference being held for healers in my field in August. I've done a lot of research on it, and only the best of the best are asked to attend.

I've been asked to attend...but the thing is it's in New York, and it would mean being away from you and the kids for about 2 weeks on the other side of the world.

I don't know what to do.

	...I would be in New York for 2 weeks, and you would be left alone with Eric and Dana? I mean they're good kids, but they're still a handful, and I've never been to the states before, and they're going to want me to do some sort of presentation and-- I didn't want to accept without talking to you about it first. This would also mean me spending the next couple of weeks preparing said presentation, which is going to require a lot of research, and planning, and...do we have enough ink and parchment? I think I'm going to have to pick some up. Wouldn't want to run out. So much to do.

Merlin, I haven't seen Emmeline in years. Sad to think about, really. I'll have to write to her, see where she's at - I've seen pictures of New York before, and it all seems so overwhelming.

It's going to take some time for me to wrap my head around this whole thing. I feel like I'm going to have to take a port key to the eastern hemisphere before I'm really ready to go, because you know how I am with public speaking.

You really think I should go? What if I get there and they realize I'm far too young an inexperienced and they made a terrible decision?

I'M FREAKING OUT OVER HERE.

	I love shopping for ~~art~~ supplies! We can have a nice relaxing evening filling up a shopping cart with everything you'll need! Dedalus Diggle you are brilliant, you always have been and you are only going to get better! This is in no way a fluke! The next few weeks are going to be tough but so worth it!
