So I have some news. News that I need to run by you, because it's big news.

There's a conference being held for healers in my field in August. I've done a lot of research on it, and only the best of the best are asked to attend.

I've been asked to attend...but the thing is it's in New York, and it would mean being away from you and the kids for about 2 weeks on the other side of the world.

I don't know what to do.

I'm going to be there for a conference. I was the healer they chose to represent mental health services at Mungo's, and I'll be speaking on behalf of my department. I should be there for about 2 weeks.

Yes! Merlin, how old is he now? I wish I could bring Eric and Dana along with me, but I fear I'll be too preoccupied with everything else going on. I very much doubt they'd like to spend the time watching their father pace around in a hotel room looking like a mad man. They already see enough of that at home.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, to be honest. I'm excited, but also a bit overwhelmed.

I had no doubt! With a mother as brilliant as his, it would have been statistically improbable for him to not be intelligent. Our children are going to make us look like fools.

Let's hope I won't be too forgetful to bring them back with me. They hear so much about their Aunt Em, and they know your face through pictures, but I hope you'll come home soon to meet them in person. I have no doubt they'll love you. I'm sure Eliza would love to see you again as well.

Will I be meeting this elusive architect of yours while in New York? John, I believe his name was?
